Ortellis home page: the title “Your global capability partner.” over a city waterfront at night, with the three ways to work along its foot
The first screen pairs the waterfront with three explicit entry points: Managed Offices, Global Capability Centers, and Services.

The challenge

Ortellis brings Managed Offices, Global Capability Centers, and Services under one company. Its identity needed to hold those offers together; its website needed to explain how each arrangement works.

We designed the wordmark, horizon sign, and website as a connected system, then worked with reLabs on implementation. The sign’s horizontal structure carries into the imagery, diagrams, and transitions between pages.

The home page moves from the company’s offer to its capabilities and ways of working. The same identity carries through photography, diagrams, and service descriptions.

Global Capability Centers page: “A capability of your own.” beside an architectural model of glass towers
Engagement models explain the arrangement; capability pages explain the work. The platform has a separate page, keeping its supporting role distinct from the service offer.

We built the identity around a horizon sign.

Identity

The wordmark uses spaced capitals with open, geometric letterforms. Above it, an open ring and a solid half-disc meet a thin horizon line. The single-color lockup provides the basis for light, dark, and photographic applications.

A pink and orange dusk sky above a layer of clouds
The dusk application connects the sign’s horizon to the photograph. The white lockup keeps its shape independent of the image’s colors.

The stacked and horizontal lockups use the same sign and spaced wordmark. Checking both on light and dark grounds makes the identity’s structure visible without photography or color.

We used diagrams to explain the different offers.

Engagement Models hero: one line splitting into three routes, each ending at a model's glyph
Platform hero: a trellis of glowing nodes over three workspaces
Capabilities hero: a line that climbs through five colored nodes on a dot grid
A branching line introduces engagement models, five connected nodes introduce capabilities, and a trellis represents the platform. Blue, violet, and teal connect these drawings to the identity.

On phones, the offer stays ahead of the illustration.

The phone compositions give the title and next action their own reading space before the supporting image. The home page uses a portrait film crop, preserving the waterfront without shrinking the desktop composition.

We carried the horizon into the site’s motion.

Motion

The home film changes the light over the waterfront. On About, scrolling moves the Earth from night through dawn to daylight. Both treatments extend the horizon sign into the page rather than introducing a separate visual motif.

The About hero part way down: Earth at dawn under a violet and rose horizon
The About hero at the top of the page: Earth at night, with a thin violet and red rim along its horizon
The About hero further down: Earth in daylight, the view wider, clouds and ocean in blue
These frames show dawn, daylight, and night. In the page’s scroll sequence, night comes first, followed by dawn and daylight; scrolling back reverses the transition.
